Old Dreams Were Good Dreams

I have a strong tendency to look back in life. I believe that you should never forget where you came from and what it took for you to get where you are today. Here is another old ballad I found amongst my tapestry of musings, written back in 2003.

Spare A Rose

You ever walk down the street
And find you’re all alone
There’s not a single soul to meet
And no one to call your own

You don’t see the birds flying
Oh, the winds have gone away
And you hear a lone bird crying
On a dark summer’s day

You ever look at the sky
When your day has come to pass
And you ever wonder why
About the days that didn’t last

You don’t hear the night’s song
It’s just the chill of the night
And the time that seems so long
Just like a lone birds flight

But I hope you’re feeling fine
While you’re sitting there at home
Oh, come see me one last time
Spare a rose for my gravestone.

This might go well with some music. Maybe you should record something.

Thanks bro, but goddess muses was never mine. However, an attempt is surely due. We’ll see.

Recollection in tranquility is a wonderful nostalgia that takes one to the world that drew one to the present world. Poetic mood rises out of such thoughts many a time which is actually a blessing in disguise for romantic persons to pull on the days with new vigour and vitality! Dreams, ideas and realities are not for the chosen few only but they are for all!
