Live rendition of Iktara’s Original Composition “Chalte hi Chalte” performed by me on Guitar with a friend Devesh at a musical night at Sri Aurobindo Ashram. This was part of a musical evening organized by the Ashram. Please excuse the Airplane disturbance during the video.
2nd tribute to Majaaz Lucknawi sahab’s Ghazal “Ai Gam E Dil Kya Karun (Awaara)” composed and performed by Jagjit Singh. One of the most poignant compositions of JS, mostly unknown to people. Die hard fans like my Father – of Talat Mahmood’s version from 1950s dislike this version. I think otherwise..
Recorded a medley of Anup Jalota’s 3 Ghazals “Jo fareb maine khaye”, “Saqi teri nazar” and “Dard ki aanch se”.
April was the month of recordings and this is my humble attempt at “Meri Ajab Hai Zindagi”, from the older lot of Ghazals by Jagjit Singh Ji.
My humble attempt at this immortal Nazm by Rajendra Nath Rehbar, composed and performed by Jagjit Singh Ji.
One of my favourite songs that me and my brother grew up listening to back in the 90s. My humble attempt at this golden-voiced Pat Boone’s 1961 #1 release Moody River on my Classical Guitar. Words: Moody river, more deadly than the vainest knife Moody river, your muddy water took my baby’s life Last Saturday [...]
First attempt at this poignant Ghazal by Jagjit Singh recorded this weekend. Poetry is by Javed Akhtar.
This is my 3rd Tribute Video to Late Jagjit Singh and his legacy after the last recording “Jeete Rehne Ki Saza De“. One of his most popular Ghazals that was penned by his life-long friend and a great Poet Sudarshan Faaqir. I tried to do it some justice although please raise the volume as it [...]
I first heard this song in 2007 and had never heard it since until I ran into it couple days ago. I decided to give it a try this evening. The song was written and performed by Ben Gibbard. I dedicate this to all my friends. Words: Love of mine some day you will die [...]
