Yahan Se Guzre Hain

April seems like ages ago when I penned down Akhiri Alvida as a tribute to my late cousin. I have since travelled to India, recorded debut digital release for Iktara apart from other things. After a long time, a couplet descended like the autumn rains on parched prairie and a Ghazal was born this afternoon. I finished it this evening and would like to dedicate this to a close friend. Hope you guys enjoy my attempt to talk about the things that have been going on with and around me with friends and strangers alike.

Here’s a quick recitation I recorded for non-hindi readers:

“Hamenshaa glass ko aadha bharaa hua dekho, bhai; aadha khaali nahin.”
And that is the ONLY way to combat life.
And that is what I have divined at the threshold of my life’s last quarter.

    Gautamji,
Your voice in last couple nazam feels more powerful then last some of 2012.But I am sure life has always two side and if one is black now, there will be shining one too. Your Dad did perfact comment and I won’t say a word any more. Please forgive me……om
