With this song, All of my memories, Justin and I ended our dinner musical at Mr. Keedy’s on April 6th. I guess it was a perfect song to end the evening as I parted ways with MVU. It’s a song about moving on in search of unknown as we talk about it in the video.
Thanks to our hosts Mr. and Mrs. Keedy for a memorable evening and some great food. Thanks to Justin for his great guitar and vocals. Thanks to Brandon for camera work and Carol for coming along. I guess thanks also to Mr. Keedy’s dogs that kept me on my toes all evening!! Enjoy the last song in the series.

Words:
All of my memories lay in the lights of the highway.
All of my nights in old motels and sleeping alone.
All of my days on the road with no one beside me.
All of my dreams of a place that I can call home.
Somewhere in the shade, near the sound of a sweet singing river.
Somewhere in the sun where the mountains make love to the sky.
Somewhere to build me a faith, a farm and a family.
Somewhere to grow older, and somewhere a reason to try.
‘Cause I’m tired of big cities, and so tired of big city ways.
Scratching off sunsets, and walking around in the maze.
Some sweet taxi dancer trying to save me from being alone.
Ah, it’s much worse than lonely, there is no place that I really belong,
I want to be home.
I’m leaving this city life, and by night I’m flying away.
I’m leaving tomorrow and all of the old yesterdays.
I’m leaving the trash cans, the bright lights, and telephone lines.
I’m leaving my sorrows and all of my memories behind to see what I find.
Somewhere in the shade, near the sound of a sweet singing river.
Somewhere in the sun where the mountains make love to the sky.
Somewhere to build me a faith, a farm and a family.
Somewhere to grow older, and somewhere to lay down and die.
There was only one dog, Rusty! His name is Joey and he’s patiently waiting for your return.
Very nice.

Somewhere my dear there will be songs to sing about the sweet singing river and the mountain kissing the sky, if you go to your favourite Himalayas where you can see alive the pictures you have been painting with songs accompanied by your favourite guitar. All the Best.
[…] With nothing much to say I thought we’d remember the old playing days and relive the magic of Keedy Night. Here is a Tom Petty song that Justin did during that memorable night. It’s called […]
