Chup Hai Kyun – Original Hindi Composition

After reading some very disturbing news about crimes against women in India, I started writing some lines and ended up composing this song couple nights ago in Sitla Village, Uttarakhand. Melody is still a work in progress.

कृष्ण खोये किधर, येशुआ तुम हो कहाँ
लुट रही द्रौपदी, जल रही मैरी माँ
चूड़ियाँ चीखती – “भाई तू मुझको बचा”
पिस रही घुट रही, सहमी सी ये बेटियां
चुप है क्यूँ तू मेरे खुदा
