Kashmir – Paradise on Earth

I found a heartfelt slideshow on Kashmir today on the Kashmiri Overseas Association site, which I’m a member of. If you wish to immerse yourself in the beauty of the Great Himalayas, check out this presentation of music & images on Kashmir and its images – prepared by Arun Koul.

    Hi

    That is beautiful.
But the real Kashmir can be experienced only after one visits it. A few yrs back i had the priviledge to visit Kashmir and it was so awsome , correctly said ‘heaven on earth’. The Dal lake had its own kinda old beauty that is so charismatic.

Each and every place over there had its traditional look retained and can makes anyone feel rejuvenated -especially if one is from a big polluted city.

Very beautiful place-that can take yoy back in time.

Anushka, you’re right. The beauty of the Himalayas, be it Kashmir or the heights of Ranikhet – can only be felt when you’re standing there. Nothing else on earth can replace that experience. I visited Ranikhet & Mukhteshwar this summer in India, and it brought about a spiritual upliftment to me other than filling my senses with the beauty of the Himalayas. I’ve only been to Kashmir twice, once when I was about 1 and second when I was about five.

I have seen Kashmir – Paradise on Earth many times only in your website. Still I like to see again and again.

As I am a poet I love Nature very much. Kashmir – Paradise on earth makes me elated to Everest height.

I have seen in person only Kodaikanal and Ooty in Tamil Nadu but not Kashmir. Different Natural Scenes of Kashmir is fascinating, wonderful and aweinspiring. Back ground music is wonderful to listen to along with seeing the beauty of the Paradise on Earth.

Again I may see it another time and another time.

    Thanks and Regards,

    T.A. RAMESH

Many a time I have seen Kashmir scenes; yet it has not bred any contempt to see it again according to the proverb familiarity breeds contempt! I wish this peaceful Kashmir should not become O Calcutta!
