Yesterday with Nikhil

Nikhil and I at Khajjiar

I found an old recording that Nikhil and I had done back in January. For some reason, we didn’t like the recording at the time. However, now that I listen to it, I think it turned out alright. My vocals could have been a little better. Nikhil played the Guitar classical style and just like Paul McCartney does in the original song. This is probably one of those songs that I’ve listened to most number of times in my life. I think I listened to it more than 200 times in one day somewhere back in 2004.

Anyhow, enjoy the recording. Here is the MP3.

Words:

Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away
Now it looks as though they’re here to stay
Oh, I believe in yesterday

Suddenly I’m not half the man I used to be
There’s a shadow hanging over me
Oh, yesterday came suddenly

Why she had to go I don’t know
She wouldn’t say
I said something wrong now I long
For yesterday

Yesterday love was such an easy game to play
Now I need a place to hide away
Oh, I believe in yesterday

Why she had to go I don’t know
She wouldn’t say
I said something wrong now I long
For yesterday

Yesterday love was such an easy game to play
Now I need a place to hide away
Oh, I believe in yesterday.

Yesterday song reminds me of the immortal Beatles! Your voice with the accompaniment of guitar music along with your friend recreates the voice of Paul McCartney. Simply wonderful to hear it again and again! Carry on still further in the same vein other songs also and it will be interesting to listen them!
