It seems that my Writer’s Block is finally over. I am actually able to put my thoughts onto paper now. For last few days that is what I have tried to do and lo & behold a Nazm has been born each time. And quite amusingly my last 2 have come while I was washing my face in the bathroom. Quiet an odd place to think of a poem. I went ahead and recited the Nazm for couple mates who can’t read Hindi. Also recorded a little improvised melody in the background. Padhne ka shukriya! Here is the Link to the MP3 of the recitation.
Aug 2020 Update: I had written this 13 yrs ago for an old childhood friend, Sapna Kaul (Bio | My tribute) whom I knew for more than 30 yrs. Little did I know I would have to update this one day to note that she is no longer with us. You will be missed, old friend, Meri Waaqif!
