Rozgar Ke Silsile

I have not come across a Nazm so simply written, yet so poignant that it can tear you apart like an arrow. For those who listen to it will get my meaning. It might leave you with a sigh, it might leave you with a tear or it might just leave you somewhere else, somewhere back in time.

Gulzar is unmatched in his Nazm and recitation.

Right … a great short poem.
Gulzar is indeed a poet par excellence.

I recently read Tarqash, a collection of poems by Javed Akhtar, and liked most of them – for the struggle of a common man that they portray.
