Sargoshiyan - Revival
June 9th, 2008

I wrote this revival version couple days after I wrote Sargoshiyan. I’m not sure if I’m using the correct term, but I pretty much revived the same tune in a slower and melancholy way. I guess when it’s time to say Goodbye, I can sing this song. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to record it, but when I had a few lines down, I decided to do it anyways. Here is the MP3.

I am putting a very rough English version of the song. Of course translating takes away the essence of a song, but just so my non-Hindi speaking readers can understand. Sargoshiyan means whispers.
Sargoshiyan (Revival)
And so I say goodbye with a smile
But you mustn’t weep O my heart
I shall leave all my cares and woes
And these memories that linger on
Guess I’ll have to say in a song
What words just could not say
These petty goals of life
They just won’t make me stay
Alone I was and so I’ll be
O loneliness, it’s you and I
And so I’ll leave this world behind
With nothing but a song,
A song and a sigh.

Very correctly tuned and delivered. Next time try to keep the recording mike closer because the verse in this case should override the tune. The verse is fit to be delivered in a “mehfil e jaam.”
