Kissed by a Rose
May 31st, 2008
Today while doing laundry @ Googleplex I took a walk up to Vista Slope and played some songs to kill some time and shot this video. A 90s hit by the British singer, Seal called Kissed by a rose.
The recording is pretty choppy because the winds were mighty strong this morning at 6:30 AM and the vocals aren’t that good.
Enjoy!
Words:
There used to be a graying tower alone on the sea.
You became the light on the dark side of me.
Love remained a drug that’s the high and not the pill.
But did you know, That when it snows,
My eyes become large and
The light that you shine can be seen.
Baby, I compare you to a kiss from a rose on the grave.
Ooh, The more I get of you,
The stranger it feels, yeah.
And now that your rose is in bloom.
A light hits the gloom on the grave.
There is so much a man can tell you,
So much he can say.
You remain, My power, my pleasure, my pain, baby
To me you’re like a growing addiction that I can’t deny.
Won’t you tell me is that healthy, baby?
But did you know, That when it snows,
My eyes become large and the light that you shine can be seen.
Baby, I compare you to a kiss from a rose on the grave.
Ooh, the more I get of you
The stranger it feels, yeah
Now that your rose is in bloom.
A light hits the gloom on the grave.

You might want to make the video larger, so we can see mountains and other great scenery much better.

Yes I had to rush back down to get the laundry from the dryer, so it was a rushed recording

Solo song in loneliness on a mountain is generally soothing the heart if one hears it in the calm of the night! Perhaps like a Nightingale you have been singing to your heart’s content. But the song pleases those who hear it from a distance like us. Indeed the songs of the singing bird pleases all time!
