Jeete Hain Hum
October 9th, 2007
Last night while talking to Sapna I came up with kind of a sad tune and then sat down today and put down some words to go along. I wonder if I should dedicate this song to her. But I will. Someone did mention that Sapna is getting a noticeable number of dedications here, but that’s just people talking. So, my dear S, here is another song for you. This is my favorite.
Let’s see if anyone has any comments on the song. I am always looking for people’s comments on my compositions. This is just the first raw cut. I’ll try to record a better version soon. Here is the MP3 of the song.
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
Also check out the Revival version of the song that I recorded a while back.

I’ll add your name after Capt. Lal on my talaffuz grilling. I’m still learning the great art
And, sapna mili ya nahi? I think you’d better ask her that.
Sapna, are you listening??

lagta hai khwaab aur haqeeqat mein zyaada faasla nahin:) or as they say- ab dilli door nahin
i find your love story really cute ! hope it works out for all concerned!
on a serious note, you are one multifacted guy! keep it up, it is so heartening to see kids preserving our shayaraana heritage.. kudos to you .
i am curious, did u actually learn the urdu script or do u just speak and understand it.. i have tried for ages to learn the script but it is damn hard.
also in terms of your songs, some of the lines seem inspired and not original ( i am sure that is unintentional)- like in this song- ankhon mein tum meri sanson mein tum reminds me of an old kumar sanu song..
i hope u dont mind me pointing this out, i think this will help your future creative output..!
cheers

Thanks, moonbeam. I don’t know the Urdu script. I started writing all of a sudden one day in Oct 2003. I see it as a blessing from my nanaji who was a master of many languages and a poet esp. Urdu. He has often appeared in visions and critiqued me etc

I guess some lines somewhere will always match
Thanks for stopping by and for the wishes!!

pretty cool that you are “visited” by your nanaji!
is he asking you to work on your talaffuz too he he – just kidding
i think it is important to abandon all subconcious influences and create something original yet simple.. your mind must be a blank slate or “tabula rasa” as the philosophers of old said..
you are on your way though i can see , all i can do is encourage u!
