Take Me In Your Arms
September 24th, 2007

I wrote ‘Take me in your arms’ in November of 2004. I vaguely remember it was a blistery cold Michigan evening and a very dark phase in life. The person who I wrote it for probably doesn’t even know about it, so I reckon many gifts just stay unpacked. Last night I was strumming at about 1:30 AM when I came up with this tune and decided to use it for this song, which is almost 3 years old now.
This song goes to no one in particular at this point, but I’ll make a point to dedicate the melody to Sapna and she knows why. It’s a fairly sad song like many of my others, nothing special. Bear with some rough edges in the recording. Here is the Link to the MP3.

Words:
Do you still remember way it used to be?
Times I held you close times I let you free
Days, they keep passing nights just come and go
And till my heart’s beating I’ll always love you so
I’ve traveled through seasons and passing shades of time
I’ve been through the valleys where stars never shine
And even when my hopes, they were all long gone
I carried on with this same old song
Take me in your arms and never let me go
Show me oh my love’s same old afterglow
I’ve talked to the ocean I’ve known its pain
I have seen fire; Lord I’ve seen rain
So don’t ever cry when I’m dead and gone
For I’ll still be singing this same old song
Take me in your arms and never let me go
Show me oh my love’s same old afterglow
Sitting by the oak where this river flows
Oh how I long Dear just to hold you close
‘Take me in your arms and never let me go
Show me oh my love’s same old afterglow’

It is a good song. I have a poem similar to it to some extent. Pleaser read it; you may like!
COME ON HUG, HONEY!
Come on, come on dear and hug me honey please!
I will teach you to swim and surf on the ocean of heaven
And help you to relax and enjoy pleasure to forget worries;
You will be happy and jolly as in holidays honey!
Like the new born ducklings to the waters and birds build homes Naturally by blood consciousness do they wonders in the world!
You too learn to swim consciously to wade through woes later;
Come on, hug me honey and enjoy life together with me!
You are the only Star of the Universe I adore most, my dear;
Hug honey like the many Stars that hang on to cover the Sky;
Let us swim and surf on the sea together till the desire lasts
And enjoy the pleasure till the end of time in the world, dear!
Yes mom, I am coming and don’t leave me alone please!
I will swim and surf on the sea tight together with you!
Hold me and hug me close and never leave me alone any while
So that tsunami cannot separate me as before from you, mama!
