My Sweet Lady

After “It’s good to be king” here is the next song in the Keedy Dinner series. I had recorded My Sweet Lady couple months ago, which you can listen to here. While I sweat it out in India where the mercury reached 45 Celsius (112 F) – you guys can enjoy me and Justin performing this beautiful song by John Denver. The evening lives on!

Words:

Lady, are you crying, do the tears belong to me
Did you think our time together was all gone
Lady, you’ve been dreaming, I’m as close as I can be
And I swear to you our time has just begun

Close your eyes and rest your weary mind
I promise I will stay right here beside you
Today our lives were joined, became entwined
I wish that you could know how much I love you

Lady, are you happy, do you feel the way I do
Are there meanings that you’ve never seen before
Lady, my sweet lady, I just can’t believe it’s true
And it’s like I’ve never, ever loved before

Lady, are you crying, do the tears belong to me
Did you think our time together was all gone
Lady, my sweet lady, I’m as close as I can be
And I swear to you our time has just begun.

My Sweet Lady is good song to hear or read at night. It reminds me of Beatles songs like Close your Eyes and I Love you [so much]. Wonderful Song.

The Keedy Dinner series just keeps getting better and better.
    When’s the CD release?

It’s in the 50s here and raining … a beautiful Michigan day.
