This is a very heartfelt Ghazal by Jaan Nisar Akhtar Saahab.
Ham se bhaagaa na karo door Gazaalon ki tarah
Hamane chaahaa hai tumhen chaahane vaalon ki tarah
Khud-ba-Khud neend-si aaNkhon men ghuli jaati hai
Mahaki mahaki hai shab-e-Gam tere baalon ki tarah
Aur kyaa is se ziyaadaa koi narmi baratooN
Dil ke zaKhmon ko chhuaa hai tere gaalon ki tarah
Aur to mujh ko milaa kyaa merii mehanat kaa silaa
Chand sikke hain mere haath men chhaalon ki tarah
Zindagi jis ko teraa pyaar milaa vo jaane
Ham to naakaam rahe chaahane vaalon ki tarah.
